animation made in blender, mixtape in ableton live, video edited in premiere pro.
this time around i wanted to complete an entire workflow of creating, sculpting, rigging, weight painting, and animating an entire non-human model
i managed to do so with relatively little difficulty; which was a great improvement over my last mixtape animation
i also finally felt confident enough to learn grease pencil, which i used to create the eyes and the outline of the lamb
using grease pencil allowed me to make & prototype the eyes/nose much faster, as i could do everything in blender; instead of creating more topology and creating/editing a texture in photoshop
but after once again taking too much time to hand-animated each bone again, i feel a strong need to get familiar with inverse kinematics; so that's up next
i also learned a bit of geometry nodes! which made making a looping animation a bit easier with the randomly placed grass
using textures to control different variables/parameters for particle emitters is also something i had fun with here for the first time (unity just uses curves)
besides, all that, i also picked up some new shader tricks. as well as some new techniques in premiere pro
